How To Join
To join our credit union you must first be eligible under our common bond provisions, which are identified under the "About Us" tab. Those who meet our eligibility requirements may complete an account application. Your membership can then be established by depositing $5.00 into a regular share account.

It's really that simple! Stop in to our office to complete your account application or use our on-line member application!

Important Information About Opening An Account

On September 11, 2001, our lives changed forever.  In an effort to protect you and our country, the USA PATRIOT Act was signed into law.  To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you.  We may ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

We proudly support all efforts to protect and maintain the security of our customers and our country.

                               Privacy Policy

Avanti Federal Credit Union is committed to providing you with financial products and services that will enable our members to meet their financial needs. Protecting personal information and using that information to enhance the services available to the members is a high priority for everyone associated with our credit union.

Information We Collect and Disclose About You

Nonpublic personal information about our members will be collected from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from the member on applications or other forms
  • Information about member’s transactions with us or others
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency

Members of our credit union may request the opportunity to review their information and make necessary changes to ensure that our records are complete and accurate.

Our credit union will only share information when absolutely necessary. We will only share information to administer the products and services we provide or when required to do so by law.

If a member should terminate their membership or become an inactive member, we will adhere to the privacy practices as described in this policy.

Our credit union will restrict access to member information to those employees who need to know the information to provide our products or services. We will maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect members’ nonpublic personal information.

What Members Can Do To Help

Avanti Federal Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. Members can help by following these simple guidelines:
    • Protect your account numbers, card numbers, PIN’s (personal identification numbers) and passwords. Never keep your PIN with your card, which can provide easy access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.
    • Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security number, etc. to other persons. If someone calls you, explains the call is on behalf of the credit union and asks for your account number, you should beware. Official credit union staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.
    • Keep your information with us current. It is important that we have current information on how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity or use of an account, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know.
    • Let us know if you have questions. Please do not hesitate to call us – we are here to serve you!
